What was leaked was that the names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of customers in 8 countries such as the United States and Germany who contacted Trend Micro support were not included in Japan.

According to the company, in August, there was a suspicious phone calling for support at the customer's site, and after investigating it asking them to pay money for security measures, it was found outflow.

The company took measures such as providing information to the investigative agency after dismissing the employee who brought out the information.
