Rapper David Gilaberte, known by the artistic name of Lírico , has returned to prison on Tuesday after having spent 35 days in a hospital, where he has undergone a psychiatric evaluation after starring in two violent episodes in which he physically assaulted two cellmates for no apparent reason.
Lírico, 42, and a founding member of the Aragonese musical group Violadores del Verso, has been in provisional detention since August for assaulting a 27-year-old girl in Alcocéber (Castellón).
He has remained in a hospital since September 30 to be stabilized and subjected to a psychiatric evaluation , but on Tuesday he returned to the Castellón I prison, according to prison sources cited by Heraldo de Aragón.
Now, in jail, David Gilaberte has entered the suicide protection program to avoid risks and will always be accompanied by an inmate both inside and outside the cell. According to the aforementioned sources, at the reference hospital in Castellón, he has been treated by a psychiatrist.
Mental pathology
When he was transferred, it was said that the doctors were going to evaluate if the singer suffers any undiagnosed mental pathology derived from the use of narcotics, a problem that he already received treatment in the prison infirmary and that motivated his hospital admission.
The psychiatrist's attention will now be transferred to the interior of the Castellón I prison for all prisoners who need it, not only for David Gilaberte, according to prison sources, as a result of the last episodes starring the singer.
Lírico entered the prison on August 5 and a few days later slapped his cell mate in a surprising way and for no apparent reason. The problem was resolved with the opening of a disciplinary part and changing it from a partner.
However, a month later, at the time of leaving the infirmary, where he had remained since the first incident, the rapper starred in another violent episode assaulting another partner, which motivated his isolation.
Lirico was arrested for assaulting a 27-year-old girl, who was found unconscious in a ditch near the current address of the vocalist in an urbanization of Alcalà de Xivert.
The victim, who was initially admitted to the ICU of the General Hospital with serious injuries, was transferred a week later to a health center in Salamanca, where she is from and where she underwent maxillofacial surgery.
