McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook, 52, was sacked because of what the administration described as poor judgment and corporate governance judgment.

In a statement, the company explained that the reasons for the dismissal came on the background of disclosing his relationship with an employee, which is a violation of the company's policy that prevents managers from establishing romantic relations with direct or indirect subordinates.

The relationship was exposed when he sent an e-mail to one of the workers, but described it as being sent by the singer

"I agree it's time for me to move forward," Easterbrook said of the resignation.

Easterbrook joined the company in 1993 and has been the company's CEO since 2015. His annual salary is $ 16 million, a divorcee with three children.
