Symptoms of vitamin D deficiency in the body are persistent feelings of weakness, fatigue, deterioration of muscle capacity, and increased infection.

German pharmacist Uwe Gruber said the risk of vitamin D deficiency in the elderly is particularly high because of the lack of sun exposure, which helps the body build vitamin D itself, as well as patients, who regularly take corticosteroids.

To provide the body with this vitamin should be exposed to sunlight daily even in winter, and eat foods rich in it such as egg yolk, beef liver and fatty fish such as salmon, herring, shellfish, oat flakes and sweet potatoes.

Vitamin D supplements can also be used, but under the supervision of a doctor.
Vitamin D is important for health. It boosts immunity, improves muscle and brain efficiency, and improves the effectiveness of certain drugs, such as blood pressure and cholesterol.
