The technique, with adhesive tape to seal the wounds, proved to be highly effective during the tests, according to Sky News.
Scientists were inspired by the idea of tape from spiders that use viscous substances to catch prey, pointing out that it easily handles fragile tissues in the lung and intestines.
This can save lives by stopping bleeding that can follow stomach surgery, and sometimes even sepsis.
Scientists pointed out that these tapes need more tests.
