My colleagues ask me: what happened so important in the elections in Thuringia, the federal state of Germany, and why is it interesting to anyone besides the Germans themselves? Colleagues simply do not understand exactly how they were waiting for these elections, because they, or rather their results, expectedly stirred up the whole country and put official Berlin on its ears. Well, if you do not know where Thuringia is, then at least you know what Berlin is?

So, the ruling coalition in Berlin suffered a severe blow.
The federal state of Thuringia, which is made up of two unequal parts of the former Federal Republic of Germany and the former German Democratic Republic, voted for the majority, 31%, for the Linke party, the successor to the GDR Communist Party, and for AfD, the new batch of Euroskeptics who only takes part in the elections for the second time, 23, four%.
For the ruling party, the CDU gave a fantastically shameful number of votes - 21.8%. The Social Democrats (8.2%) and the Greens even more failed. (5.2%).
The whole irony of the election process is that the members of the ruling coalition, led by the CDU, were dominated by electoral expectations, which demonstrate that they generally have not been aware of what is happening in the country for a long time.
The CDU, which in this land is used to collecting its 52%, literally smacked its face in the dung, the Greens, who, according to all polls, should have collected the winning 20%, looked even worse than Greta Tunberg at the UN, but social programs with every elections everywhere in the FRG go to the complete annihilation of the party, so no one was surprised.
And the population reasonably raised the question: who, in fact, represent the parties in the Great Coalition of Berlin, if they all have shameful results? How legitimate is this power at all?
If asked, I would say that it is illegitimate since September 2015, when Madame Merkel disarmed the border troops and violated her own Grundgesetz, which replaces the Constitution of the Germans. But in fact, without me, there are several million citizens who are gradually coming to the exact same conclusion.
And now it has already begun in Berlin - a prominent politician of the CDU party, Friedrich Metz, uttered the catchphrase: “This can no longer continue. And I just can’t imagine that this way of governance in Germany will last another two years. ” In his opinion, this coalition is illegitimate.
This is the beginning of a riot within the largest coalition party - the Merkel party. To understand - Friedrich Metz was fired from all posts and cleaned up personally by Merkel because he opposed her betrayal of the party principles of the right center and frank sliding to the left.
To illustrate: everything that AfD now says about relations with Russia, about migration and integration, about the economy, etc., is literally the texts of the CDU six years ago. And yes - now they are called for it in the "quality press" by the Nazis, fascists, Hitler and Stalin.
Why? The answer is simple - it was the former position of the CDU, the right-conservative, that was left unattended, namely, it helped the Christian Democrats lead the country. And the one who used to fit in with them, went, despite the unprecedented defamation in the press, setting fire to cars and houses of party functionaries, from AfD to “blue”. AfD ratings went up, CDU ratings went down.
But the whole arrogance of the ruling party was poured out in the decision of the party congress “under no circumstances to enter into a coalition with AfD and Linke / Left” and was logical when the party felt its strength.
And suddenly - on the example of Thuringia - she suddenly turned out to be only the third - and, in fact, her arrogant squeak becomes thinner and thinner, hysterical, and makes him hopeless. It turns out that, in general, the dwarf should know his place, and not shout that he "will not sit down with these on one hectare, nor with these." Because it’s funny already.
But generally not funny. The loudly voiced ignore of a quarter of voters, their exclusion from the political life of the country is a violation of democratic principles, it undermines democracy as such. I generally doubt that this is constitutional. Moreover, this suggests that the current rulers of Germany have completely forgotten the lessons of history. And the word "Weimar" does not tell them anything. Although the city of Weimar itself, oh, irony, is located in Thuringia.
It was not by chance that I mentioned that Thuringia consists of two former different Germanys. And, in fact, all the interest that the Christian Democrats received there is from voting on a very small piece of land of the former FRG, half of which is the Dora-Mittelbau concentration camp. Otherwise, shame would be 100 percent.
Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the party’s formal leader and defense minister, was blamed for the failure, but in fact locum tenens Merkel, the avatar who should allow Merkel to not leave the post of chancellor. But it was Friedrich Metz, who himself was trying to become the leader of the party, who stood up for its defense. “What does Crump-Karrenbauer have to do with it, if she did nothing at her post, and everything that happens in Germany and what people are unhappy with comes from Merkel only?” So part of the Merkel party believes that only Merkel and her are to blame for the failure policy. But for some reason, the public is shocked by the fact that the former Communist Party of the GDR is confidently winning the former GDR, which, it would seem, should have tortured everyone over the years of Soviet power.
But if you look at the results of several elections in a row, you can see that she always stood there well and only improved a little. Moreover, largely because of the local leader of the Reds, Bodo Ramelov, who heads the Landtag, they specifically believe him. Here it is, the magic of personality.
But the big picture is that society is polarized so much that the center simply does not have a place - there are many Linke voters on the left and AfD on the right. And in the center already, consider no one, because the CDU, the Greens, and even the dead social democrats SPD are working out a left-liberal agenda “open borders, more immigrants, higher prices for electricity, fuel, a ban on cars, a ban on heaters, a ban on something, a ban on this, ”is exactly what people see as a threat to their lifestyle in the name of alien globalist ideals. Which for some reason every time they turn into a migrant with a knife right on the street in broad daylight. Merkel is far away. And the knife ... here it is - at the very throat.
