National first "V tuber" as a lecturer to students on October 30 17:08

This is the birth of the first V-Tuba university lecturer in Japan. A virtual space character, “Virtual Youtuber”, taught at a university in Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture as a lecturer.

The lecture was given by “Virtual YouTuber”, “V Tuber”, “Asagiri Kei”. As a full-time lecturer at Kibi International University's Faculty of Animation and Culture in Takahashi City, I attended my first class on 30th.

Kei Asagiri, who appeared on a large monitor, explained how to make a 3D animation character by wearing a hair ornament that makes the image of the city's specialty grapes, and using the model as a model to create a three-dimensional illustration. The 12 students who participated were creating props that appeared in the virtual space together with the characters, such as objects and dolls with grape motifs while operating the computer.

According to the university, it is the first time in the country that a V-tuber teaches as a lecturer.

One of the students said, “It was fresh to learn from a virtual space teacher. I look forward to lectures in the future.”

Prof. Hideki Maejima of Kibi International University's Animation and Culture Department said, “I think it is easy for students familiar with anime and games. I want them to guide students from the virtual space.”

V-tuber “Kei Asagiri” will appear on the video site in the future and will continue to promote the university.
