The Lebanese army asked the demonstrators to open the closed roads following the resignation of Prime Minister Saad Hariri.

A statement issued by the Lebanese Army Command - Orientation Directorate said:

Further to the previous statements issued by the Army Command, and thirteen days after the beginning of the movement of protests and popular demonstrations and demand, and the worsening of the problems between citizens seriously as a result of cutting vital roads in various areas of Lebanon, and after the recent political developments, the army command requests all demonstrators to initiate Opening the remaining closed roads to normalize life and linking all areas to the implementation of law and public order, while affirming the right to peaceful demonstration and expression of opinion protected by the provisions of the Constitution and the protection of the law, in public spaces only.
