The State Duma has legislatively approved for women working in the countryside, a shortened working week of 36 hours with the preservation of earnings. The right to an increased salary is also guaranteed if the working day is divided into parts according to working conditions.

The bill on a shorter working day for workers in the village was introduced by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin back in April. The document was prepared by deputies in conjunction with trade unions. It concerns at least 7 million women of working age who live and work in rural areas.

“Until today, the right of rural women to shortened working hours has not been secured by federal law. With its adoption, women working in rural areas will be protected from the risk of lowering their salaries for a shorter week and underpayments for difficult working conditions, ”commented Speaker Volodin on the adoption of the relevant amendments to the Labor Code.

Outwardly, the spool is small, but expensive. First of all, by the fact that the main message perfectly demonstrates: the state, whatever they say, does not abandon the village to its fate, the countryside is not deleted from the new realities.

The symbolic meaning is also important, because we are talking about work, about a business that gives meaning to the village, and also gives it the necessary prospects. Well, caring for a woman, as a continuer of the clan, also testifies that the village should and will grow by people. That it is not abandoned is not doomed to a human outcome.

The systematic support of the village, with its inclusion in the country's development project, should also go for social guarantees. That is, we are talking about the social as a basis for the strategic vector.

After all, the village is “not only valuable fur”, as in the well-known satirical miniature, but first of all the place where people live. The place is not random, but part of a single organism of the country. And people there are not random at all. This is a kind of outpost of domestic civilization, its light, if you want. With the attenuation and disappearance of these lights, not only Russia will be poorer, but also human light will become smaller and, conversely, more desert, uninhabited.

In all this there is a very important aspect of squeezing the human space of the country. Now they are trying to reverse this inertia with small steps, because the common place for the regions is the exodus from the territories of people who do not see prospects, who cannot find a worthy cause. And people felt that very abandonment, and even their uselessness.

They perceive themselves as almost the last Mohicans. Especially in contrast to life in large cities and metropolitan areas.

People often have the feeling of being insensitive to the world and that they have no future. That they will be approached only with a strictly pragmatic standard, according to which the only rational verdict will be issued: “To optimize without waiting for peritonitis ...” But the state in the person of the State Duma declares work, social guarantees, which means it intends to start development processes sat down to rid him of the already obsessive sense of hopelessness.

Now, in general, the main character of our time, as well as the national idea - territories, spaces, our domestic geography and the people who master it, become a wall on the path of an expanding desert. Moreover, the village is the first bastion of this development, rooted, deep, and not superficial, nourishing with something very important and solid domestic civilization. The village is small, but it has big tasks, including stitching colossal spaces.

That is, it is actually not just about four hours a week, but about the fundamental foundations of Russian life. And this situation should be perceived - for the long-awaited messenger of the upcoming transformation of the village.

In this regard, I recall the extremely relevant story by Arkady Gaidar "Far Countries". A cardinal metamorphosis unfolds in it, overcoming the doom described in the conception: “In winter it is very boring. The exit is small. Around the forest. He’ll notice in winter, fill up with snow - and nowhere to stick out. ” Two teenagers dream that when they grow up, they will leave for distant countries where there are factories, train stations. There are a lot of things.

But the place itself, the space, is being transformed. Aluminum was found in local clay, a plant is being built. From the near, ordinary, from the synonym of boredom, the place becomes rich, its powerful potential is revealed.

The old world of longing and hopelessness began to change. Life has gained swiftness. Everything has set in motion. If young people left earlier, now they are returning. It is also important that as a result of this global transformation, a feeling of a single whole was created: "All these are particles of one huge and strong whole." The feeling of this indissoluble whole must be felt again by our country.

How does all this relate to the uncanny and unbecoming law adopted by the State Duma? In a direct way. As a messenger of future transformation and a great cause. It's time to think about comprehensive measures for the revival of the village. So that people do not dream about the distant, not about distant lands, but see the huge potential and prospects of the place in which they live.

It should be not just about support, not just about survival, but about understanding the place and role in the common business of the country. In this matter, it should be remembered that the territory is the most important dominant of the national consciousness. Now it is imperative that instead of a chorus of idle talk about a united Russia, about space as a heavy burden and curse of the country, that here is the habitat of the eternal Russian Leviathan, the emphasis is placed on the fact that this is a country of great opportunities, great prospects. And everyone in this Russian symphony has its own place and work.
