In response to this fire, the Naha City Fire Department has been holding a press conference at Shurijo Park at the site from 8:00 am.
According to it, at 2:41 am on the 31st, there was a report from the security company that "Smoke is visible when a signal is received from the automatic fire alarm system of Shurijo Castle and confirmed."
It also means that the building is still burning at the site and has not yet been subdued.
According to the fire department, this fire has burned up 6 buildings including Shrine Castle's “Main Hall” and “North Hall”, totaling 4200 square meters.
It means that the “Bukjinmon” on the west side of “Shododen” in Shuri Castle is still burning.
At the beginning of the fire, firefighters at the site reported that the flames had risen from the “main hall” of Shuri Castle.
After that, it spread to “North Hall” and “South Hall” near “Main Hall”.
