INTERVIEW

The docu-reality Les Mamans , broadcast on the channel 6Ter, tells the daily life of young mothers of all profiles and throughout France. This third season, viewers will discover that of a couple homoparental composed of two moms, Olivia and Tressy.

"It's been a while since we think about it because we're a show that represents the current society," unveiled at the microphone of Europe 1 Virginie Sabia, producer of the program at Warner Television, about the choice of the couple. "We saw a lot of love, two moms very attached to their role of mother".

"The same galleys" as a hetero couple

On the side of Olivia and Tressy, after long reflections, it is ultimately the desire to change the eyes that has prevailed. "We wanted to show that a homoparental couple was exactly the same as a straight couple," says Tressy. "That the problems are the same: we have the same galleys, the same good sides," adds Olivia. If they say they were afraid of exposing their two-year-old son, Nathan, they thought it was for a good cause. "It is necessary to show, to be able to change some received ideas".

"Privilege the educational aspect" to the controversy

Nathan, their son, was born by PMA, medically assisted procreation, which is not yet legal in France, except for heterosexual couples in whom infertility has been recognized or carriers of a serious genetic patient. The bioethics bill, which contains the PMA for all, still has to go before the Senate. "We saw two moms who raise their child with a lot of love and that's all that interests us," recalls Viriginie Sabia. "It was a choice on our part to privilege the educational aspect." And Bruno Retailleau, president of the LR group in the Senate who considers that the fatherless PMA "is a real problem," Olivia, interviewed by Philippe Vandel for Europe 1, replied: "It does not necessarily need a dad and a mother, what is needed is parents, love, and all that is needed to support the child. "

Filming at the two mothers, who have decided to be called "Mom T" and "Mom O" by their child respectively, will last three days a week for 4 to 5 months.
