A US spacecraft has landed after spending more than two years on a secret mission in space, without any statements or information about its mission. The X37B landed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, after a record period in space.
Germany's Duchi Villa reported that the plane resembled the space shuttle, nine meters long and weighing five tons. This is the fifth mission of its kind in space, but the duration of this mission is the longest ever with the space plane spent 780 days in space, more than two years.
According to the report of the German magazine "Spiegel" the price of the aircraft is estimated at about one billion dollars.
"Every mission contributes to the advancement of our nation's space capabilities," said Papara Barrett, the undersecretary of the US government in charge of aviation.
The statement is consistent with the strict secrecy surrounding the mission, as the US official did not disclose the form of these capabilities.
