On October 24, the online platform more.tv launched the “Difficult teenagers” line of projects of its own production more originals. Accidentally or not by accident, but this honor fell to the series to the bold, breaking out of the usual formats for viewers. However, the “degree” of the problems raised in the tape (crime among minors, domestic violence, drug trafficking) will probably survive only on the Internet platform (it will also be available on the Vkontakte social network). Heroes are so difficult teenagers that the 9th “A”, who studied at the sensational “School” Valeria Gai Germanicus, seems to the viewer an exemplary class. And the "Teens" themselves, contrary to the name, were hardly created for schoolchildren.

It all starts with the fact that the famous football player Anton Kovalev (Nikita Volkov), intoxicated, beats up a visitor with a chair in a cafe (not the finest hint of the case of Kokorin and Mamaev) and is imprisoned for two years. However, even without this, Kovalev’s career was going downhill: even before the deadline, he received a serious knee injury.

True, if earlier the hero, the captain of the national team, was promised a place as a coach in the club’s children's academy, now he - a former prisoner - cannot take this position.

Neither girlfriends nor fans are waiting from Anton's prison - only the head of the center for difficult teenagers German Alekseevich (Alexander Lykov), who raised a hero who grew up in an orphanage. German Alekseevich offers the athlete to work out with the guys from his center in order to restore his reputation.

However, dealing with children for whom the center may be the only thing separating them from the prison turns out to be more difficult than winning the match against the Dutch team. The biography of difficult teenagers is overshadowed by difficult moments: Lena (Anastasia Krylova) was nicknamed “a national treasure” for her extremely loose behavior, Nikita (Svyatoslav Rogozhan) is regularly beaten by a drunken father, Zhenya (Alyona Shvidenkova) steals clothes that she cannot buy.

Adolescents who are unnecessary to parents will learn life on their own deplorable experience and no less bad example of older comrades who have chosen AUE as their ideology. The guys do not stand on ceremony with those around them, and only friends against the teachers are among themselves.

Even young heroes are striving for sexual education with all their might. In this matter, they can give odds even to Kovalev. So, on behalf of a cheeky girl from a dating site, students fool a trainer of a naked photo from a trainer in order to subsequently blackmail and humiliate him in every possible way.

Almost simultaneously with Kovalev, a new student comes to the center, Philip (Vitaly Andreev). His criminal past was marked by thefts and thefts, therefore, once in the director’s office, the teenager immediately takes a defensive position “you won’t prove”. It soon turns out that the guy is not like the other pupils: with his talent for mathematics, you can enter the best universities in the country.

German Alekseevich offers Philip the help of a familiar tutor, provided that the boy ends the criminal past. But this turns out to be difficult: a teenager wants to win the love of the beauty Lena, who is exclusively interested in money in men. For the sake of his beloved, the hero decides on a new crime and almost puts his family — mother and younger brother — at risk.

In "Difficult teenagers" collected a lot of plot moves that the audience somewhere and somehow had already seen. A famous athlete cannot continue his career because of an injury (like, say, the hero of the “Battle” of 2019), and his reputation is in trouble (like the character of Danila Kozlovsky in the “Trainer”).

The line of a professional and a team that has no chance of winning is also exploited everywhere. Of the freshest "domestic" examples - "Dyldy" with Pavel Derevyanko. As for the topic of difficult teenagers, the Soviet tape “The Republic of ShKID”, the series “Family Business”, and the same “School” were also built on its basis. Finally, Phil's story is reminiscent of the Oscar-winning “Clever Will Hunting” with Matt Damon and Robin Williams.

Perhaps the main difference between the new project and all of the above is the submission. The series is intended for viewers over 18 years old. The overall atmosphere in the frame is very gloomy. The difficult life of juvenile delinquents is told harshly, without embellishment - including through obscene and explicit scenes. The concentration in the tape of everyday horrors is so strong that sometimes what happens seems far-fetched.

Although there are few adult heroes in the series (first of all, in addition to Kovalev and German Alekseevich, these are teachers of the center performed by Grigory Kalinin and Vilma Kutavichyute), its plot basis is a catastrophe that can happen to children who have grown up without the love and attention of elders. Young heroes grow up too quickly, because they are forced to independently answer for their actions and fight for survival, but they are moving in a deliberately wrong direction.

By the way, the actors acting as pupils of the center are somewhat older than their characters - all on-screen teens are over 20 years old. Vladimir Gartsunov, Timofey Yeletsky and Mila Ershova were already involved in feature films and TV shows, and the audience remembers Gleb Kalyuzhny by his main role in the film “14+”. The director of the project is Rustam Ilyasov, winner of the prize of the Moscow International Film Festival 2013 for the best short film (“Castle of the Elves”).
