A 68-year-old man was arrested for submitting a counterfeit document over the land of Suginami-ku, Tokyo to the Legal Affairs Bureau for relocation registration. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating it as a fraud case by a group of so-called “Ground Masters” by pretending to be the land owner and making a sales contract with a real estate company and receiving over 50 million yen.

Arrested by Suichi Adegawa (68), a part-time employee at a supermarket in Kawagoe City, Saitama, was arrested.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, in 2013, there was a suspicion of impersonating an owner of a residential land of approximately 200 square meters near JR Ogikubo Station in Suginami-ku, submitting counterfeit documents to the Legal Affairs Bureau, and registering for relocation. .

Although fraud was discovered and registration was not done, Suspect Adegawa has already pretended to be the land owner and signed a sales contract with a real estate company in Tokyo and received about 58.8 million yen in cash and check .

He accused the investigation and stated that "I was asked by a man I met in Shinjuku for the purpose of getting a reward. The money I received from the real estate company was given to the man."
