On November 21, the fantastic thriller “Outpost” from the creator of the full-length trilogy and the series “Gogol” and the serial “Fartsa” Yegor Baranov will be released. In the new project of the director, we will focus on a kind of apocalypse, as a result of which almost all living things die on Earth.

The plot unfolds in the near future. There is a powerful technological leap: the townspeople now live in skyscrapers, the design of houses, clothes and vehicles has changed, flying cars have become commonplace. Something, however, remained unchanged: Moscow still never sleeps, and space station workers are watching the home planet.

Once the astronauts see the light go out all over the globe - the yellow lines of the roads and points of cities are plunged into darkness one after another. Part of the territory of Russia remains intact, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, and several neighboring states. This area of about a thousand kilometers is now called the "circle of life."

The military sent for reconnaissance find only destroyed structures and people who died instant death. Some - right behind the wheel of cars. However, no traces of armed conflict can be detected.

However, later reconnaissance groups engage in battle with a certain alien force, the nature of which cannot be determined. It is only obvious that the power of the mysterious adversary surpasses the human. Even professional military men do not understand how to confront the enemy.

Earth's population has been reduced hundreds of times since the disaster. Locked in the "circle of life" people live in fear, anxiety is replaced by doom. Outside the circle, many left friends and relatives, and it is not clear what will happen to the safe zone in the future. Therefore, outside the perimeter begins the creation of outposts for defense and attack.

In these circumstances, the four heroes - Yura (Peter Fedorov), Olya (Svetlana Ivanova), Oleg (Aleksey Chadov) and Alyona (Lukerya Ilyashenko) - come together to contribute to establishing the causes of the disaster and to saving humanity. They manage to find a building from another world, where the battle for humanity is about to begin.

On October 16, the official account of the TV-3 channel on YouTube unveiled a new trailer for the tape. There are two scenes that are different in drama, but similar in intensity: a large skirmish and a meeting with an extraterrestrial civilization. If the first captures the dynamics, the second is filled with oppressive suspense.

The film was created in cooperation between TV-3 and PREMIER Studios.

Earlier in an interview with RT, film director Yegor Baranov noted that in cinema, emotions and meanings that are not on the surface are important to him.

“I’m always interested in a project in which there is an opportunity to work with some kind of atmosphere, where I can convey to the viewer a certain feeling that can not always be expressed in words. This is not even a matter of history. It seems to me that cinema arises at the moment of some understatement, ”the director said.

Filming of the Outpost ended in May. A pilot version of the tape was presented at the Cinequest American Film Festival this spring. The director admitted the possibility of selling the picture to streaming services. Recall that his previous works - the series "Sparta", "Locust" and "Fartsa" - are available for viewing on Netflix.

Baranov does not exclude the possibility that Outpost will remind some viewers of classic futuristic films (for example, “Blade Runner” by Ridley Scott), in which a characteristic film language was set. However, the director also emphasized that when creating the Outpost he did not use the achievements of his predecessors. On the contrary, he decided to demonstrate a new approach. The genre of Baranov’s own painting is defined as “a mixture of neo-noir with a war film”.

“In our film, the interesting thing is that for a very long time we do not understand the essence of what is happening, suspense is built on the absence of the enemy. Therefore, in the first frames, relatively speaking, we will not see zombies. It was an interesting trick: in the absence of an obvious enemy, create an action on the screen, the feeling that something is constantly happening, ”explained Yegor Baranov.
