School childcare shortage October 15 at 21:43 on October 15 when private companies will increase in participation

In the Kansai area, private companies are increasingly entering the market as the number of double-income households increases and so-called schoolchild childcare where elementary school students spend after school is insufficient.

ECC, a major English classroom in Osaka, is currently operating schoolchildcare classes in three locations in Osaka and Hyogo, but last month announced its policy to enter the business in earnest.

It is planned to expand to 100 locations in Kansai and other regions over the next five years from April next year. In addition to English conversation, it also includes programming classes required for elementary school.

For double-income households, when a child goes to elementary school, the time to go to school is early, and the problem of “Small Wall 1” that is troubled by the depository is faced. There is an increasing demand for schoolchildcare for elementary school students after school, and there are more than 18,000 schoolchildren waiting for schoolchildren nationwide who cannot apply even if they apply to local government facilities.

Mr. Shinsuke Satake from the ECC school section said, “It is an important place for children to live after school. I want to teach them to develop their individuality.”

In addition, a subsidiary of “Hankyu Hanshin Holdings” also operates schoolchild childcare in Osaka and Hyogo, and plans to increase the number of facilities in the future.
