The video is reminiscent of the viral clip that circulated on social media a few years ago, and was also retweeted by Donald Trump himself, where the president appeared to strike a man whose face was covered by a CNN logo.

In the new clip, the president's head is instead cut into a scene from the movie Kingsman: the secret service, and he is seen shooting sharply at people whose heads are in turn replaced with logos such as the BBC, CNN and The Washington post, as well as political opponents like Hillary. Clinton and Barack Obama.

Appeared at a conference in Trump-owned property

The video was shown at a conference organized by the American priority organization, which supports Donald Trump, and held at one of Trump's properties in Miami, Florida. According to the organization, the video should have been part of a "meme exhibition", but at the same time they point out in a statement that the video was not approved in advance by them. And they were also unaware that it was shown at the conference until New York Times, which was the first to report on the incident, contacted them.

Sharp criticism is now directed at as much American priority as Donald Trump's 2020 election campaign and the president himself. These include now demanding CNN, whose logo appears in the clip, the president's condemnation of the video, reports the BBC.

"The pictures are horrible"

"Sadly, this is not the first time the president's supporters have promoted violence against news media in a video they apparently perceive as entertaining - but this clip is really the worst," CNN writes in a statement, which continues: "These pictures are abominable ".

Since then, the Trump administration and the presidential campaign have withdrawn from the video. In a statement from one of Trump's spokesmen, Tim Murtaugh, it is emphasized that the clip was not produced by the presidential election campaign and that they "do not tolerate violence."
