“An actor cannot play“ at the table ”: 85 years since the birth of Mikhail Kozakov

On October 14, People's Artist of Russia Mikhail Kozakov would have turned 85 years old. He tried himself in various forms - actor, director, screenwriter - and always achieved success. Kozakov played about fifty roles in productions of Soviet and Russian theaters, created about a hundred images in the cinema. Among his works are Don Pedro (Amphibian Man) and Colonel Francis Chesney (Hello, I Am Your Aunt!). Kozakov also authored a number of television plays and films, including the famous Pokrovsky Gate. In the late 1990s, he gathered his own troupe. Mikhail Kozakov died on April 22, 2011 from lung cancer. He was 76 years old.
