The General Secretariat of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award announced the winners of the `` Instagram '' competition for the month of September 2019, which was the theme of 'young lenses', which is intended for young people between 11 to 17 years, where it won the 'Selection of the Public' award The Boogie.
The September edition of the competition witnessed the presence of three distinguished Gulf talents in the list of winners. 14-year-old and Mohammed Arviansya (17) from Indonesia.
The winners will receive a medal for the award, and their photos and names will be published on the official HIPAae Instagram account. The September contest saw the use of the #HIPAContest_YouthLens tag.
Ali Khalifa Bin Thalit, Secretary General of the Award, said: “Young people do not receive sufficient technical attention in many societies despite their huge stock of creative energies. We presented this competition to demonstrate the quality, uniqueness and magnificence of the visual talent of young people. The whole world must recognize the need for early diagnosis of talent and the mechanism for refining and caring for it. Emirati photographer Maitha Qasim, who took her winning photo at the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi in January 2019, said: `` I started taking pictures in 2015, after a great inspiration from my grandfather who was always touring with the camera and lenses. I have always been attracted to the amazing images that photographers take around the world. Winning this competition is a great achievement for any girl of my age. I will continue my footsteps in photography and dream of becoming a famous photographer proud of being Emirati and inspiring photographers of her generation to find their passion. ”
