Work began on the construction of the highest suspended chapel in the world, in Mecca, western Saudi Arabia, a height of 161 meters.

The Chairman of the Real Estate Committee at the Mecca Chamber of Consultant Engineer, Anas Saleh Serafi, said in a statement today, that the implementation of the highest hanging chapel in the world with a height of 161 meters, and a direct view of the Kaaba, and audio-visual communication with the group of the Grand Mosque.

He added that the hanging chapel will be constructed within the Jabal Omar Tower, which is located on the main pedestrian axis leading to Al-Haramain train station, via the parallel King Abdulaziz Road project, and ends at Al-Haram Al-Sharif Square.

The chapel is located on a bridge connecting two twin towers, in the area around the Grand Mosque.

The hanging chapel covers an area of ​​more than 400 square meters and can accommodate more than 200 worshipers.

The three-kilometer walkway, three metro stations linking the Haram Square with the King Abdullah Mosque, and the Al-Haramain Train Station, which will run to Jeddah Airport, King Abdullah Economic City and then to Madinah, will host the King Abdulaziz Road in Makkah.
