“The first day of blind auditions is history”: the results of the premiere of the eighth season of the show “Voice”

On Friday, October 11, on Channel One, the premiere of the eighth season of the popular vocal project “The Voice” took place. In the new season, the coaching staff has been updated. Now the teams will be recruited by Konstantin Meladze, Sergey Shnurov, Polina Gagarina and newcomer mentor Valery Syutkin.

In the eighth season, the show’s interactivity also increased: now the audience has a personal “red button”, with which you can predict which of the participants will go to the next stage of the competition. In addition, you can choose the best mentor of the season. Functions are available on TVs with the HbbTV option.

The new season was opened by the performance of all the mentors who performed on the stage a cover for the song of the Leningrad group “Gelendzhik”. After that, Dmitry Nagiyev announced the start of a stage of the competition called “Blind Auditions”.

Blind auditions

The first was the 24-year-old native of the Orenburg region, Ildar Abdullin, with the song I Put a Spell on You by Skrimin Hawkins (she is widely known by Nina Simon). Literally right away Sergey Shnurov turned to him, then Valery Syutkin, and soon Polina Gagarina. After prolonged advertising of the workshops of each of the mentors, the contestant chose Shnurov's team.

To the next participant - Tatyana Gaivoronskaya - the same members of the jury turned. The vocalist chose Syutkin.

“This is, indeed, my type, who has a lot of responsibility. I like the way a person sings, I have to understand exactly what I can help him, ”said Syutkin.

Polina Gagarina took 18-year-old Muscovite Felix Kotlo to his team, who performed the composition of Sting Englishman in New York.

The performance of 19-year-old Elizabeth Shaluba, who performed the song “Romance” (the most famous in the cover of the “Pizza” group), was truly triumphant - all members of the jury wanted to invite her to their team.

It is curious that in 2015 the girl had already stormed the “Voice”, however, for children, and then none of the jury members turned to the performer.

“When we press the red button, this is not only our choice and invitation to the team, but also a tribute to your talent and absolutely wonderful performance,” Meladze said.

After a long self-promotion of the jury, the girl chose Meladze as her mentor.

The team of Valery Syutkina was replenished by a resident of Minsk Victoria Karachun, who for her performance chose a gypsy folk song “Mar, Uncle”.

31-year-old Konstantin Strukov (Sugar song by Maroon 5) tried to pull all the mentors into their teams at once. The contestant gave preference to the Shnurov team.

Anastasia Badina chose Konstantin Meladze's song “The Performance Is Over”, known by Polina Gagarina, for her performance. The composer invited the vocalist to his team, noting that choosing a song was risky.

“I am sure that you did not know who will be among the mentors, so this is a doubly risky step. Do you know why I called this step risky? Imagine: would you sing this song better than Pauline - she would be upset. They would sing worse than she - I would be upset, "Meladze said. - I really liked the performance, because it was no worse and no better, it was made somehow in its own way. Actually, I would continue to sing this song just like that. In such a lounge style. She sparkled with new colors. ”

Then Gagarina stepped on stage and performed a hit with Badina.

The first day of auditions was completed by musician Yuri Shurkhovetsky, who performed the Perfect British hit Ed Sheeran. He became the ward of Valery Syutkin.

“We will earn audience attention and have fun,” the mentor explained his choice.

According to the results of the first release, Valery Syutkin scored more than others - in his team there are three musicians (Gayvoronovskaya, Karachun and Shurkhovetsky). According to two vocalists in the teams of Shnurov (Abdullin and Strukov) and Meladze (Shaluba and Badiina), one contestant became the ward of Polina Gagarina (Kotlo).

The four participants of the show - Ksenia Orlov, Karina Evn, Rushan Rakhmanov and Mikhail Mishuris - the jury was not invited to the next stage of the competition.
