A blue-humped gray humpback whale was seen at least five meters long in the Thames, east of London, almost a year after a white whale appeared in the British capital for the first time.

"99.9 percent are sure it is a humpback whale. It has been seen many times," said a spokesman for the Port Authority of London, which oversees the river.

A white whale called “Penny” spent about three months in the Thames last year.

The humpback whale can weigh up to 40 tons and is 18 meters long.
