INTERVIEW

He is only 26 years old and already has four nominations for the Césars. The actor Vincent Lacoste, revealed in The handsome kids of Riad Sattouf, was the guest of Matthieu Noël in The wild equiped , Monday, on Europe 1.

Come to present Chamber 212 , the new film of Christophe Honoré where he shares the poster notably with Chiara Mastroianni, Vincent Lacoste returned to his early career which began by chance, when he was only 15 years old, with Les beaux enfants .

"A lady came to bring papers to all the students who were in the canteen," he recalls. "A friend did the casting and was called back, but I thought it was impossible, so I asked for the paper again because I threw it in. I was in the casting and I was caught."

He admitted to having contacted the agency only "because a friend was recalled", because at that age, his motives were quite different. "I already loved cinema but, at 15, I just wanted to go into second and have my patent," he says.

Conditions were not in place for him to follow this path. "I did not know any actor, my parents did not do this job and I did not imagine myself an actor, I did not want to do it," he explains.

"A life almost normal"

After the success of Les Beaux Enfants , Vincent Lacoste knew celebrity very early. An upheaval in his adolescent life that has "a little destabilized", according to him, even "intimidated". In everyday life, his role (that of Hervé, a teenager badly in his skin in the midst of an existential crisis) was difficult to bear. "When you make a film, that you become known, normally you have the class There, not really, I had to go back then," he remembers.

However, in high school, Vincent Lacoste "continued to go to class" to lead "a life almost normal until terminal". "My parents never pushed me and Riad Sattouf is a very dear friend who has been with me a lot, it's been little by little because, of course, the movie Les beaux kids has made a million tickets to his but he did not make five, and I did not play in Titanic either .
