An American ran over his ex-wife twice by car in the street, then in front of passers-by chopping off her cleaver.
The shocking incident took place in front of the victim's home, Noelia, 58, in the Bronx, New York state, and in front of her grandsons.
The newspaper "Daily Mail" British, that Victor Mateo, aged 62 years attacked his ex-husband and rammed her car, as she tried to enter her home, then returned to the car to run over again, to break her legs.
According to eyewitnesses, the injured victim managed to get out of the bottom of the car and crawl into the sidewalk, in a desperate attempt to save herself, but the culprit got out of the car with a cleaver.
"The husband grabbed the cleaver and started dismembering it. I was yelling and screaming in an attempt to stop him. When I told the police he escaped," said the neighbor, Dikristina, who witnessed the incident.
Police uncovered photos and specifications of the perpetrator on Friday, and asked the public for help in arresting him and informing her if he was spotted.
