There is a big difference between a movie constantly reminding you of what it is, because everything you see on the screen cannot be separated from the category to which the movie belongs (for example, Avengers Movies), and that you remind yourself that the film falls under that category, because your mind cannot easily associate it with its genre. Because of its unique and unique composition, for example: Dark Knight, Logan and Joker.

In the world of Batman there are two types of darkness: the first is characterized by vacuity and superficialness and stands behind him Zach Snyder, and the second darkness with aesthetic character in his genetic fingerprint, and stands behind his English Christopher Nolan. In Joker's independent film about Batman World in his cinematic vision, which is neither an introduction nor a supplement to that series, American director Todd Phillips, famous for the comedy trilogy The Hangover, came closer to seeing Nolan.

This is an annoying film, a journey inside the head and heart of a man with a mental illness, hallucinations, and a psycho-traumatized, more inclined to horror than action or adventure. Even Nolan's iconic film "The Dark Knight," the Dora crown of the Warner Brothers / DC film catalog, employed a more traditional comic-inspired template than Joker. We can say that in the category of comics and fiction, we have not seen anything like Joker in his strangeness, and dared to break the tradition of the genre.

It would come as no surprise that the three best comics in the past 20 years deviated from the line of classification followed by most Super Heroes. In other words, the films The Dark Knight (2008), Logan (2017), and Joker (2019) are all out of the mold, and have entered new territories like never before.

"Dark Knight" was in the form of gangster films, and "Logan" was Western film heart and mold, and "Joker" is the study of personal behavior and psychological drama and suspense of the story of the formation of a criminal. The three films from the worlds of Batman and «X Men», the difference is that the "Dark Knight" classified age for the children of 13 years like all films of this category, while «Logan» and «Joker» are classified for adults only.

In the language of comics, Joker is a 1981 film about the origin of a character, and the main character is the deformed comedian Arthur Flick (the dazzling Waken Phoenix in any role he plays), who will become the iconic character after Batman, if not equal to him. In fame, the symbol of evil, malice and savvy: «Joker».

Historically, Joker was first portrayed by Cesar Romero in the 1960s, but in comedy, in 1989 his retired veteran, Jack Nicholson, was run by Tim Burton, but he was extremely artificial. In 2008 the late Australian Heath Leger turned Joker under the direction of the creator Nolan, in a legendary performance awarded him the best supporting actor Oscar, but he died addicted to antidepressants, six months before the release of the film, because of the psychological state of the role.

He was followed by Jared Leto in the Joker Mansi in the Suicide Squad 2016, then Phoenix in this film. And don't forget Mark Hamill, who played the Joker voice in the anime films. When the film begins we see Flake, a former psychiatric patient, who works as a clown under the influence of seven types of drugs. Flick lives in Gotham in an apartment with his isolated mother, Penny (Franz Conroy).

Penny's life or existence revolves around two things: her passion for watching a talk show host by Murray Franklin (Robert Dinero) and her obsession with her former employer Thomas Wayne (Brett Colleen), Batman's father, who ran for governor.

At the same time, Arthur is stuck in a building in the building, the single mother Sophie (Zazie Betz). Arthur gets a pistol from his colleague and uses it in a moment of anger, after being bullied and beaten by three businessmen while on the subway. Once he stopped taking the drugs, the dark side of his character began to emerge, and Joker controlled the remnants of the poor Arthur.

Joker is free from the clichés of the character's origin story (trying to figure out the character of its own forces, or having an accident that leads to it), and entrenches itself in the form of drama and psychological thrillers. It is easy to know which of the two films Phillips was influenced in his artistic vision - Martin Scorsese's famous films Taxi Driver 1976 and The King of Comedy - 1982. Phillips refers to the films by having Deaniro in the role of a broadcaster, who starred together.

It is difficult to make comparisons, especially between Leger's and Phoenix's views of Joker, because the former and all of his predecessors played an insane role without establishing a state of madness. Phoenix here establishes the madness in which we have seen Joker in the past years.

The film is violent, but we have not seen a glorification of violence. The purpose of the violence is to shock more than to try to quench the bloodthirsty crowd. If we compare the film to John Wake or slasher-type horror, Joker's violence is much less, and his body count is only five. But the impact of violence is severe in every breath of killing, because of the psychological state of the personality.

Phoenix's performance is great, and his bones are frighteningly losing weight due to the role, as Christian Bell did in 2004's The Machinist. That is, the Joker completes the circle of the story by linking his story with Batman. This film is completely free of everything associated with Super Hero stories except for the names of the characters.

The film points to political circumstances in the story, such as cutting a budget that leads to the abolition of social services to help the mentally ill, and the US government's interest in promoting the interests of the rich at the expense of the poor. This is a complete reversal of the political context of Batman's films, which appeared right-wing in the Nolan trilogy.

The Joker won the Golden Lion award for best film at the Venice Film Festival last season. He deserves to be nominated as the best film, and Phoenix Oscar deserves his terrible performance. If Phoenix wins, he will join Leger, Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro in the list of Oscar-winning actors for the same avatar, Adia Joker, third and last for Vito Corleone in The Godfather.
