Rubella coupon usage rate of over 10% “Active use” 12:17 on October 2

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has called for the active use of coupons, showing that the usage rate of coupons for middle-aged and older men who receive free antibody tests and vaccinations for rubella is low.

Rubella is a viral infection that can cause damage to babies born when a pregnant woman is infected, with more than 2100 patients.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare distributes coupons that can be used free of charge for antibody testing and vaccination in principle for men aged 40 to 57, who are at the center of fashion.

However, the use of coupons is sluggish, and as a result of a survey by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, about 16% of those who received the antibody test during the four months to July received vaccines. It turns out that only about 14% have been vaccinated.

Looking at the usage rate of antibody tests by prefecture, the lowest is 2% in Miyazaki, then 3% in Aomori, and 5% in Kyoto.

Even in the metropolitan areas that are the center of fashion, Kanagawa and Osaka are 10%, Fukuoka is 11%, Tokyo is 13%, etc., which are below the national average.

On the other hand, the usage rate is highest in Tochigi, 32%, followed by Nagano, 31%, and Hiroshima, 26%.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, “The use of coupons is still not progressing, so we would like to actively call for their use.”
