Akishinomiya and his wife enjoyed an opera performance on the night of the day as an opening event of the Agency for Cultural Affairs Art Festival.

The Cultural Affairs Arts Festival is held every year for two months from October to many events such as theater and music, so that many people can become familiar with the fine arts.

The opening event, held at the New National Theater in Shibuya, Tokyo, on the night of the night, was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Akinomiya in place of the Emperor and Empress who had been attended by the Crown Prince until last year.

The opera “Eugeni Onegin” composed by Tchaikovsky was performed based on a novel by Russian writer Pushkin.

When the soloists sang beautiful melodies and the heartless love story set in Russia in the 19th century was performed with great emotion, the couples were applauded.
