LONDON (Reuters) - British police have arrested a husband for manslaughter after he neglected his cancerous wife to the point of dying in appalling conditions, the Mirror newspaper reported on Monday.

Valery, 61, has been suffering from cancer since 2017 and her husband, Richard Wallach, 67, did not care about her illness.

The deceased paramedics were found lying in a garbage-filled room, and doctors noticed larvae between the skin folds.

The woman was taken to hospital immediately, but died 19 days later.

According to medical reports, the cause of death was sepsis, which developed due to sores. In addition, she also had breast cancer, which may have caused her disability, and she needed care.

The man did not care when they told him that his wife was likely to die soon, and began to complain about his problems and that he was suffering from constipation for several weeks, according to the agency "Spontech.

The man denied his guilt in court and said he was offended by the charges. He said he did not know about his wife's condition.

On Thursday, a jury found the British man guilty of manslaughter for negligence. The man continued to live in the room where his wife died, all the time until the verdict.
