Facebook began today to hide the number of likes on posts in Australia, to see if this feature will improve the feeling of users about their interaction with the site, and if the experiment is successful will be transferred to other countries, according to the site "Daily Mail" Britain.

The social media platform will hide the number of likes and interactions on the post, to show browsers whether a friend likes this post along with the word "others" if some non-friends have interacted with it, rather than showing the number of fans and interactors.

"We are conducting a limited test where the likes, interactions and video views will be confidential on Facebook," a company spokesman said. "We will study user feedback and feedback on the test to see if it improves their experience with the platform."
