The Tokyo International Film Festival, the largest film festival in Asia, has now reached its 32nd anniversary, and 1804 films from 115 countries and regions have been submitted to the competition that competes for the highest award.

Of these, 14 nominated works selected for judging were announced on the 26th, and two works were selected from Japan.

Among them, “Admiration Story” directed by Genji Adachi is a story of a couple drawn through a husband who is a screenwriter who does not go up and his wife who continues to curse her husband.

At the interview, Mr. Adachi said, “I was happy to be selected for the competition, but I was surprised. I thought it would be a couple to show off the irresistible and inevitable part, so I wanted to draw such a part,” he said in the movie. He talked about his thoughts.

The movie “Barubora” is a work of Osamu Tezuka's cartoon made by his son, Director Tezuka, and starring Goro Inagaki.

Mr. Tezuka said, “I am really happy to be selected for the competition. I was able to make a movie by combining the story and sensibility of my father with my sensibility as a son.”

The Tokyo International Film Festival will be held at venues such as Roppongi, Tokyo, from next month 28th to November 5th.
