Alfonso de Salas dies, one of the founders of El Mundo

Alfonso de Salas, founder, president and editor of the Economist, has died this morning in Madrid, as confirmed by the economic newspaper.

Salas was one of the founders of El Mundo and Diario 16, two of the most relevant newspapers in the country.
