The Soyuz FJ rocket is adorned with the UAE flag and the emblem of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center along with the flags of Russia and America in preparation for the historic mission on September 25.

The Soyuz FJ rocket will carry the Soyuz MS15, with Hazza Al Mansoori, the first UAE astronaut to the International Space Station, with the emblem of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center and the UAE flag.

The Soyuz rocket was first launched in 1966, and the launch system was developed by Energia Korolev, the rocket and space company, and built by the Center for Research and Development of Rocket Production (Progress) in Samara, Russia.

The Soyuz FJ rocket was photographed from the facilities of the Baikonur space station in Kazakhstan, where the three stages of the rocket are being assembled ahead of the launch.
