Nuclear accident Criminal judgment 1:15 pm Judgment What are the top management responsibilities? September 19, 12:06

In a trial in which three former managers of TEPCO were forcibly charged over the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, a notable ruling was handed down to the Tokyo District Court after 1pm. Three former management teams arrived at the Tokyo District Court before noon. All entered the government building with lawyers with a firm expression.

TEPCO's former chairman Tsunehisa Katsumata (79), former vice president Ichiro Takeguro (73), and Sakae Muto (69) were allegedly negligently injured by the prosecution committee over the nuclear accident. I was forcibly charged with my sins.

In the trial, the issue was whether a huge tsunami could be predicted and whether it could have been prevented.

The designated lawyer of the prosecutor's office filed a five-year imprisonment saying that he was able to predict the tsunami after receiving reports from his subordinates that a huge tsunami had arrived. "There was no possibility and we could not prevent the accident."

The ruling will be handed down from 1:15 pm, and it will be noted how the court judges the criminal liability of top management in the nuclear accident.
