The Court of First Instance number 74 of Madrid has condemned singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz to pay 5.4 million euros for breach of contract to the entity that carried his artistic representation, RLM, SA

This company, owned by the well-known manager Rosa Lagarrigue, brought Sanz to trial after 25 years of professional relationship and claimed about 9 million euros.

The lawsuit began after filing a civil lawsuit RLM, SA, after Sanz decided in 2016 to unilaterally break the contract he had with this company. According to the documentation provided to the cause, said contract was signed in 2014 and united both parties until 2019.

After analyzing the facts, the court has condemned Sanz subsidiary to pay the referred amount to his former manager. The ruling concludes that Sanz incurred a malicious breach of the contract by breaking it unilaterally.
