Collapse at Shinmeijin Expressway Yokkaichi-Shin Yokkaichi JCT Down line closed September 14 12:12

On the night of 13th, the slope of the Shinmeijin Expressway in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture collapsed, and the down line between Yokkaichi Junction and Shin Yokkaichi Junction is closed. The Central Japan Expressway is said to take about a week to restore.

Before 9pm on the 13th, on the Shinmeishin Expressway in Yokkaichi City, the slope collapsed over 14 meters in height and over 50 meters in width.

Although there are no injuries, the Shinmeishin Expressway is closed to the Kansai area between Yokkaichi Junction and Shin Yokkaichi Junction.

According to the Central Japan Expressway, there is a lot of collapsed sediment, and it takes about a week for restoration work.

In northern Mie Prefecture, it was a record heavy rain from the 4th to 6th of this month.

The collapse this time occurred on the 6th in a place where a small collapse occurred and first aid was being taken.
