The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the expiry of the decision "banning the performance of work in the sun and outdoor places at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 15 at 3:00 pm.

The decision came into force since June 15, whereby the work was banned in the sun and in the open places from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, except for work in which non-stop work must be continued for technical reasons provided that cold water is provided. In accordance with the number of workers and the conditions of safety and public health and means and irrigation materials such as salts, lemons and others, which is approved for use by local authorities in the State.

The period of implementation of the resolution witnessed a package of events organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in cooperation with its partners, including the organization of field visits to work sites and workshops to raise awareness of the decision and educational lectures and provide various medical consultations on the risks of heat exhaustion and how to prevent it and ways to deal with emergencies and other events in different languages.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has reinforced the principle of partnership with the community in monitoring the implementation of the decision.
According to the decision, each establishment that does not abide by its provisions shall be punished by a fine of AED 5,000 for each worker and a maximum of AED 50,000 in case of multiple workers employed during the ban period, in addition to stopping the file of the offending establishment or reducing its classification in the establishment classification system approved by the Ministry. This is based on the severity of the offense committed.

The Ministry has implemented a transparent mechanism in dealing with the infringing establishments. Studied by a special committee to decide on it once and for all.
