Young players

The first match of the national team in the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the finals of Asia 2023, against Malaysia, last Tuesday, a group of young players, under the supervision of Dutch coach Marvik.

These new names are on the horizon to confirm their readiness for the next stage, and offer us a promising generation for the future, which means that the old generation will find fierce competition from new young players.

Naturally, the first participation of this promising talented generation, which is the hope and future of football in the UAE, carries limitless ambitions for these players. Officials, as well as the sports street, expressed their happiness for the victory over Malaysia, after these young players proved their presence and talent in their first appearance with the national team.

I think they have proved that they are a distinguished generation that is capable of making a difference in the coming benefits, and they are as confident as they are in terms of the strategy of the Football Association or the confidence of the experienced Dutch coach Marvik.

What distinguishes these young people is that they have a generation with ambition. Despite some criticism of the coach's choices and the participation of these young people from some analysts, but the players were up to the challenge with the emergence of an honorable and tender, especially in the second half, and proved that they have all the ingredients to succeed to win the challenge.

This opens a big door for young players in local competitions to prove their abilities, and is a strong motivation to turn the compass of coach Marvik in his future choices for the team list.

This will be a criterion for the next selection process, in line with the player's giving on the pitch, without looking at the names of the players and their clubs. We hope that the club coaches will support these young players who participated with the first team in their match against Malaysia, to participate in the games of the Arabian Gulf League, and put all their confidence in them, as did the coach of the team.
