The failure of the negotiations - or substitute for negotiations - between the PSOE and Podemos leaves Spain on the verge of other general elections on November 10. That our country is dedicated to the fourth elections in four years would constitute an unprecedented failure in Spanish democracy . This is the result, fundamentally, of Sánchez's stubbornness by putting his personal ambitions before the general interest of the country. If in 2016 he forced the bankruptcy of the PSOE after endeavoring to do it, it is not no to Mariano Rajoy, now it is also Sanchez who has been unable to add a parliamentary majority that allows him to overcome the investiture . Although the result of 28-A allowed him to look left and right to form a government, the socialist leader has let time go by in a tacticist way. He never wanted the coalition with Podemos, he never negotiated thoroughly with Iglesias and never reached out to PP and Cs to agree his abstention with counterparts. On the contrary, he approved the shameful pact of Navarra, thus fulminating any possibility of agreement with the right-wing center.

The inability of all parties to guarantee governance causes stupor and fatigue among citizens. However, it would be more harmful for the country to form a weak Executive without stable support than to return to the polls again . In the plenary yesterday in the Congress the clash between Sánchez and Iglesias was again exhibited, and it does not seem that his appeal to resume the negotiation to the desperate one serves more than to stage another twist in the battle of the story. But he is the winner of the elections and acting president the main responsible for the blockade that crosses our country, whose economic consequences are serious. To the clear signs of deceleration is added the concern of a good part of the employers. According to a survey of the Businessmen's Circle, eight out of ten businessmen consider that the decrees of the socialist government have eroded the economic situation. It is not only the clouds that loom over the global economy that threatens the Spanish economy, but the demagogic and erratic Sanchista management.

Spain does not deserve other elections, but neither does the depressing spectacle of two parties that have succumbed to a shameless job marketing. Over the past four months, Sánchez has not shown any interest in agreeing to his investiture . He has preferred to delay the times, thus wearing down the institutional process that entails the formation of Government. The result of this crazy strategy cannot be translated into the eternal prolongation of a harmful agony. Spain needs to resume the path of stability and reforms as soon as possible.
