On September 12, Vladimir Spivakov, People's Artist of the USSR, celebrates his 75th anniversary. Already at the age of 13 he made his debut as a solo violinist on the stage of the Leningrad Conservatory and soon began to take pride of place at prestigious music competitions in the USSR and beyond. The teachers of the maestro were Yuri Yankelevich, Israel Guzman and Leonard Bernstein. In 1979, Spivakov founded the famous chamber orchestra "Moscow Virtuosos" and became its conductor, soloist and permanent artistic director. In addition to creativity, the musician is actively engaged in social activities, for which he was awarded the title of UNESCO Peace Artist. In addition, Vladimir Spivakov is a member of the Council on Culture and Art under the President of Russia, and 25 years ago he founded an international charitable foundation that supports gifted and socially vulnerable children.
