Yesterday I received another letter from Victor Bout. I will not retell the content, but in particular, he expressed the hope that the latest political changes in France will allow the old revolutionary sitter Ilyich (Carlos) “to achieve what he wants and return home to Venezuela”. First and foremost, it is Macron’s revolutionary new policy towards Russia and the West.

“Soon things will start to change,” Booth wrote.

And indeed: a month ago no one could predict such a reversal of Macron. The recent meeting of Russian and French leaders at Fort Breganson seemed to be exclusively working in nature. But this is only at first glance. The two leaders had something to discuss, starting with formally topical issues (the situation in Syria and Ukraine) and ending with global ones (recent years, which passed under the sign of the second cold, American exclusivity and the idea of justice for all). If more recently, Europe meekly walked in the US channel, now, apparently, this is coming to an end. Macron, after meeting with Putin, declared something unprecedented for liberal elites: "We are seeing the end of Western hegemony in the world."

Then these words were skeptical. But in fact, things really speak more about politics than his words. You can promise anything you want - the same Donny Trump makes promises without leaving Twitter: in one day, he can threaten the terrible retribution of North Korea, and call Kim Jong-un his friend. But let’s leave it. Trump is still an old good guy, tied hand and foot to the undead from the depths of the Washington swamp. Let's get back to Macron. So, after that meeting with Vladimir Putin, something important happened: that zinger, who, in favor of the globalist elites, stole Le Pen’s victory, suddenly not only breaks with them, but also seeks friendship with Putin.

And then things immediately begin. Yesterday, negotiations were held at the highest level in Moscow, in which the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense of the two states also took part. Sergei Shoigu told reporters, without disclosing details, that Moscow submitted to Paris a number of proposals in the military sphere, which "could be implemented in the near future." Judging by the joint press conference, the ministers not only found common ground and laid the foundation for close cooperation between the two countries. The very participation in the meeting of key ministers says a lot. They could send advisers to Moscow, but did not send, but arrived on their own.

Touching was a gift from the Minister of Defense of France Florence Parley - a photograph of the French Normandy-Niemen French Regiment, published in Le Point in June 1944. For each Russian, "Normandy - Neman" - as a password code, like seeing my relatives.

On the eve, as you know, the ruler of the Fifth Republic accepted Putin's invitation to the Victory Parade in Moscow. According to the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, many events are planned in connection with the "75th anniversary of the end of World War II." That is, Emmanuel Macron will not limit himself to formal participation in the holiday, which is already unacceptable for the united West, but will conduct a full-fledged visit. Let me remind you that since the beginning of the Cold War 2.0, not a single leader of the countries of Western Europe has visited the Victory Parade.

Moreover, the European press called the Victory Parade a demonstration of Putin's strength. All previous years, the media enthusiastically sucked on the details of the parade: military equipment, modern weapons, accompanying propaganda reports with formidable images of the Russian president. Well, as if inadvertently noting that this terrible invincible army threatens the tranquility of Europe: “Have you not seen the horrors of Donbass and Syria ?!” Emmanuel Macron, we must pay tribute, he showed political courage with his decision to go to the Victory Parade.

Yes, the mainstream media will gladly pour any slop on the French president who has fallen off the hands, but it seems to me that Macron has already begun to think in historical terms. What is an article in Libération for him, if behind him is a great history and culture. Therefore, the political significance of the arrival of the ruler of the Fifth Republic in Moscow is not only in the historical renewal of friendship between Russia and France, but also a nail in the coffin of transnational and liberal elites. We are only happy to give him such a hammer.

Moscow can only welcome Macron’s desire to make France French again - Vladimir Putin initially advocated the national diversity of the world. And personally, I am very glad that today it is Paris that is at the forefront of the European revival. Therefore, the emerging alliance in the western direction can serve as a good foundation for a new de-occupied Europe.

Welcome back, Fifth Republic!
