According to the report of entering the fire department, at around 2 pm on the 7th, there was a report at the riverbed of Yodogawa in Kawanishi-cho, Takatsuki-shi, Osaka that "Several elementary school students are drowning in the river."
According to the fire department, there were three men and women who were considered elementary school students and four elderly men were transported to the hospital.
An image taken by NHK helicopter from around the site after 3pm confirmed that firefighters entered the river and searched.
