36-year-old American singer and rap singer Nicki Minaj announced the end of her musical career. She informed fans about this in her Twitter account. According to Minaj, she decided to focus on creating a family.

“I decided to leave the stage and devote myself to my family. I know, guys, now you are satisfied (probably an appeal to ill-wishers. - RT ). My fans - support me until my death ... I will love you all my life, ”she wrote on a social network.

In June, Minaj announced that she was going to have a wedding with her lover Kenneth Petty, and in 2018, in an interview with Wonderland, she spoke about her intention to soon concentrate on preparing for motherhood.

Nevertheless, the singer’s fans were not ready for this news: Minaj was actively giving concerts, in the beginning of summer she released the single Megatron, and in July she completely hinted that she was working on her fifth studio album. Under the publication of the singer on Twitter, some fans write words of gratitude for the years of her active work. Others do not want to believe the words of Minaj and accompany the singer on indefinite vacation.

Rap phenomenon

A native of Trinidad and Tobago is considered to be one of the main representatives of such a cultural phenomenon as female rappers. Recognition came to her in the late 2000s after the release of mixtapes Playtime Is Over and Beam Me Up Scotty.

Now Minaj brought this figure to 104, losing only five positions to Elvis Presley.

The artist’s piggy bank has not only musical achievements: Minaj collaborates with large cosmetic companies, acts in films (films “Another Woman”, “Hairdressing Salon 3”) and even sometimes works as a model.

The appearance of Nicki Minaj often reflects the theme of the events she attends: for example, at a charity auction of environmental orientation Niki appeared in a white-green wig, and to show the Versace for H&M collection, inspired by the jungle wildlife, she designed her hair with palm branches.
