“There are a number of projects related to the development of creative industries. For example, the Yakut cinema, which was still a phenomenon 34 years ago, today has become an absolutely understandable segment of Russian cinema, with its own characteristics, with its own specifics. And I'm glad that films appear, win already at international film festivals, ”said Nikolaev.

He also expressed the hope that the film industry in the coming years will receive general economic significance for the economy of Yakutia.

In addition, he noted the importance of developing the non-resource sector of the economy for Yakutia.

“I believe that relying solely on mining and processing minerals is not very correct. From this point of view, in Yakutia we have recently been betting on the development of the IT industry. And here we have impressive successes. Today, 75% of the export of IT services from the Far East is just the services of Yakut companies. And these are not millions, but tens of millions of dollars, ”said the head of Yakutia.

Nikolaev also hopes that in 10 years over 10 thousand highly paid and highly qualified specialists will work in the IT industry of Yakutia.

“In this area, we have good competencies, good results, but there are not enough personnel, so today we are already starting to prepare children from school. We have private IT schools, a special lyceum will be opened, work is ongoing with leading universities in our country just to ensure that the IT industry in Yakutia develops more rapidly, and we would actually become not only leaders of the country, but also in Yakutia also sounded at some global scale, ”said the head of Yakutia.

Earlier it became known that within the framework of the WEF in Vladivostok, the Days of the Yakut cinema will be held.
