German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh has died at the age of 74, his studio in Paris announced today.
Lindberg has been one of the most influential fashion photographers for the past 40 years. He was an imprint on the "supermodel" phenomenon in the 1990s. His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions, including exhibitions in Munich and Düsseldorf.
Born in 1944 in the occupied city of Wartland (now Poland) and raised in the Ruhr region of western Germany, Peter Lindberg has his own style of fashion vision. His most famous works include portraits of models such as Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatiana Patets, Christy Torlington and Cindy Crawford.
Lindberg died yesterday, according to his Instagram page. "It has left a huge vacuum," the paper wrote.
