As it has recently announced regarding Instagram, Facebook seems to be hiding the number of likes on its network, according to technology blogger Jean Manchon Wong.

In August, Facebook began experimenting with hiding the number of likes on Instagram posts in seven countries, including Canada and Brazil, so that users are not affected by the size of fans and the content itself.

The engineer, known for revealing new features in apps and sites and announcing them before they were officially launched, spotted the number of likes with Facebook's Android app.

Wong published a photo of a post she posted on her Facebook account confirming this, as it did not show the number of likes and only some people who liked the post.

TechCrunch, a technology news site, quoted the company "Facebook" confirmed that it is considering testing the removal of the number of likes from users' posts on the network, but said that users can not note this at the moment.

According to the site, the company refused to disclose the results or motives of the tests it is conducting in terms of concealing the number of likes of the application of "Instagram" in a number of countries around the world

The site said that "Facebook" may intend to apply this feature gradually on its networks, but it will certainly retreat if the users are disturbed by this or low advertising revenue.
