"Brassack died on Friday in Los Angeles after a long fight with the disease," The Hollywood Reporter reported referring to the scriptwriter's son.
Brassack is the owner of three Emmy Awards for the animated series Pinky and Brain and Mischievous Animations.
He also took part in writing the script for the animated films “The Black Cloak” and “The Smurfs”.
