There is an exhibition in Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture that reproduces world heritage sites around the world, including Japan, using block toys.

This exhibition is being held for the first time in Aomori Prefecture to connect to the “Hokkaido / North-North Jomon Archaeological Sites” that are aiming to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site. 45 works that are modeled on the World Heritage of this country are on display.

Among these works, the work modeled on Mt. Fuji, which was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 2013, uses different colored blocks to represent the snow that falls near the summit and the changes in the color of the forest that spreads along the middle and the field. I express.

In addition, the Italian “Leaning Tower of Pisa” that faithfully reproduces the inclination and the Spanish “Sagrada Familia” using about 25,000 blocks are on display, and visitors will receive a commemorative photo I enjoyed taking pictures.

A man in his 60s who came from Towada City said, “I was impressed with the beautiful colors and shapes and the perfection.”

Mr. Sana Kobayashi of Misawa Aviation Science Museum said, “I want you to come to see because there are works that stick to the interior as well as the exterior.”

This exhibition is open until 23rd of next month.
