The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt yesterday issued a decree banning the appearance of Egyptian media player Reham Said on any audio-visual media for a year in Egypt.

The official decision came after the latest episode presented by Said through its program "Sabaya al-Hayr" broadcast through the Egyptian satellite channel Al-Hayat, where she talked about the overweight and described them as "a burden on the state and their families," prompting Al-Hayat to stop the program.

For her part, Said announced immediately after the issuance of the decision issued by the channel, which is working to stop the presentation of the program, announced that it will retire to work television, through a live broadcast of her account on the social networking site "Instagram".

It is noteworthy that Reham Said said during the last episode of her that "people betrayal (fat) dead, and a burden on her family and the state, and Bishohua view."

"Your view is not sweet and you are in abaya or jalabiya and you are not able to walk, by inspecting some of your femininity."

She also said that "obese women" will find someone to marry her only if she is "obese" like her, she said.

Many described the presenter's statements as also racist, and some accused her of contempt for a particular class of society whose precarious physical conditions prevent her from providing a price for treatment where obesity can often be a disease or exercise, and some have called for her to be tried for bullying.
