Specimens that can be frozen and touched by three rare deep-sea fishes such as “Ryugu Untsukai” are displayed at the aquarium in Yokohama, and are popular with children in summer vacation.

The aquarium in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, "Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise" is exhibited, "Ryugunotsukai", which is approximately 1.5 meters long and has a silvery luster, and "Rabuka", which is said to be a fossil living with shark friends, It is a frozen specimen of “honey shark” with sharp teeth on it.

All three were captured alive, but died because they could not be bred, so they were immediately frozen and stored.

It was displayed to touch in a special case kept at 15 degrees below freezing. Visitors reached out one after another and enjoyed the cool deep-sea fish feel.

A 7-year-old boy who visited with his family from Shizuoka Prefecture said, “I was rough and chilled in the kinkin. I was afraid to start moving.”

A 6th grade boy who visited with a friend said, “My hands have become very cool. I saw them nearby so I knew their teeth were jagged.”

It is rare for these three specimens to be exhibited at the same time, so Mr. Satoshi Abe, who is in charge of the exhibition, said, “I want you to enjoy not only seeing it but touching it directly. I hope you can feel it. "
