- In addition to the cities that welcome the Melodifestivalen every year, there will be dear revisions when we return to Luleå and Linköping. We are also extremely pleased that after so many years of touring, we find new cities that welcome us with open arms, such as Eskilstuna this year, says Anette Helenius, project manager for Melodifestivalen in a press release.

Melodifestival's first competition will be held in Linköping on February 1, followed by: Gothenburg, Luleå, Malmö, Eskilstuna and Stockholm.

This year is the 60th edition of the music competition. Last year it was John Lundvik who took home the winning spot with the song Too late for love, and later represented Sweden when Eurovision was decided in Tel Aviv. He then came in fourth place.
